C'era un cavaliere, un uomo molto illustre
che dal primo giorno in cui iniziò
a cavalcare in terre straniere, aveva seguito (i principi)la cavalleria,
verità, onore, generosità e cortesia.
Si era comportato nobilmente nella guerra del suo sovrano
e aveva cavalcato in battaglia, più di tutti,
sia in terre cristiane che pagane,
ed era sempre onorato per le sue nobili grazie.
Quando prendemmo Alessandria, lui era lì,
spesso si sedeva a tavola sulla sedia(al posto d'...)
dell'onore, sopra tutte le nazioni, quand'era in Prussia.
Aveva cavalcato in Lituania, e in Russia.
non c'erano molti cristiani, del suo rango.

appena tornato a casa dal servizio militare, si era unito alle nostre fila
per compiere il suo pellegrinaggio e rendere grazie.
